I am going to my experience on Himalaya Herbals Anti-Wrinkle Cream with you today. Anti-wrinkle creams are generally meant for mature skin people. As our skin gets mature, it starts to lose its youthful glow, elasticity and plumpness.
Mature skin becomes dry and prone to dullness as the skin renewal process slows down. At this stage, wrinkles start forming on forehead, sides of eyes and sides of our mouth. Many people begin their anti-ageing skin care regimen when they see degenerative changes on their face. The damages already done are hard to reverse.
So, prevention is the best cure when it comes skin ageing. It is best to start your anti-ageing skin care journey from late 20s. I belong to this age group. I was looking for a good non-drying moisturizer with added anti-ageing benefits. Himalaya Herbals Anti-Wrinkle Cream caught my eye at my last store visit. Here is what I found out after using this cream for a few weeks.
About Himalaya Herbals Anti-Wrinkle Cream
Himalaya Herbals Anti-Wrinkle Cream helps to delay formation of wrinkles and making the skin firmer with its herbal formula. Himalaya Herbals Anti-Wrinkle Cream is infused with the richness for several natural extracts like aloe vera, lemon, grape, sandalwood and red poppy which help in toning the skin, keeps the skin hydrated, protects from sun damage which leads to premature aging.
1. Delay wrinkles and tone up facial skin
2. Soothes and relaxes the skin
3. Keeps skin hydrated
Packaging: This wrinkle control cream comes in a tint less translucent glass tub with green plastic screw lid. Himalaya has also provided a safety cap to prevent spillage. The packaging looks quite bulky for a 50gm product because the glass tub is quite thick. I don’t like tub products. They get exposed to contaminants every time we take the product out with our fingers. I can’t call it a travel safe packaging either.
Colour & Consistency: The cream is milky white in colour. Its texture is smooth and density is moderate. It is creamy but gets absorbed into the skin in a few minutes. It does leave a slightly oily feel to my combination skin. I would be perfect for drier skin than mine.
Fragrance: It has a light floral fragrance. There’s a hint of cucumber and lily in the fragrance. It is a mild fragrance. I won’t bother the senses and goes away in a few minutes. However, it’s not natural essential oil fragrance; the fragrance seemed artificial to my nose.
Quantity & Price: This anti-ageing cream costs Rs.260 for 50gm. This is the only size available for this cream. Anti ageing creams are generally expensive. This one is one of the affordable anti-ageing moisturizers. You can avail 20-30% discounts offers both online and offline.
My Overall Thoughts
My skin type is oily to combination. I have always had serious hormonal acne issues. From last year I brought some positive changes in my lifestyle, my diet and my skin care routine. It has already made a huge difference on my skin and hair. Now I get less pimples altogether and my skin does look smoother.
However, even a single application of comedogenic product brings pimple to my skin. I don’t try too many products on my face. I only use those brands that have given good results in the past. Himalaya is one such brand so I decided to try their anti ageing cream.
Himalaya Herbals Anti-Wrinkle Cream is a lightweight cream but it moisturizes my skin well. But, it also leaves certain amount of oily feel to the skin. If I apply it on a hot summer day, humidity causes a lot of sweat with this cream. I don’t like the uncomfortable greasy feel to the skin.
So, I apply it on less humid days only. Another thing I wanted to mention about this cream. This cream does not have any anti-ageing benefits. I have given it to my mom to try. It did nothing to her dull and wrinkle prone skin. This can be a good moisturizer for dry skin but not for oily or combination skin types. It also lacks potency in terms of wrinkle prevention.
