Perfectly groomed brows can make so much difference to your face especially if you are someone like me who doesn’t have fuller and thicker brows. I makes sure that I do not step out of the house without doing my brows whatsoever. I always groom them well even if I skip the rest of the makeup.A few weeks back, I thought of visiting The Body Shop store. The brand does amazing skincare products, but I’ve liked a couple of makeup products as well. The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder is one of my favourites from the brand. My eyes caught on The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit and I thought of picking it up and trying it out.
I like filling up brows in a such a way that they look natural and not drawn, and yet all groomed and full. When I tried this product in the store, I quite liked it and was so excited to take it home and wear it on a daily basis.
The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit comes in compact plastic packaging. It is neither big nor small and looks cute. When you open it, there is a full-sized mirror, 2 different brow powders and a flexible brush applicator. I liked the packaging since it is very lightweight can be easily travelled with. The brush applicator is arch-shaped but is flexible and can be opened to have a better control for the application. However, the one with the finer tip doesn’t seem to work for me so I prefer the angular one.
So, The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit comes in 2 different shades:
02 Brunette & Brown
03 Brown & Black
I chose the shade Brown & Black since I have dark eyebrows. There are 2 different brow powders- one is a medium brown and the other is greyish black in colour. I like brow products that come with atleast 2 different shades.
It becomes easy to fill my brows with 2 colours to give it an ombre and natural look. I usually apply the lighter shade in the beginning of the brows and then the darker one from the middle till the ends.
The pigmentation of the shades of The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit isn’t much, but I am fine with it. I tend to go overboard easily with he brow products and then it becomes difficult to remove the excess. So, since the colours are not heavily pigmented, I can work with the product well and easily build up if needed.
Also, they are so finely milled and have no fallout. However, the product isn’t waterproof or sweatproof and easily washes off with water.
This is how the 2 shades of the brow kit look on my hand.
The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit retails for ₹1200 approximately for 3 gm of the product. It is definitely on the pricier side!
My overall thoughts:
When I bought the brow kit, I was really happy with it and used it almost daily. However, I am unable to use it during this time of the year when it’s too hot and sweaty outside since it’s not waterproof or sweatproof. If I have to use it indoors or when it’s not hot, I would definitely reach out for it. Coming to the price point, it is pricier than the other brow powders. But I am still happy using it since it has the pigmentation I look out for and is buildable easily.
The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit says that it is a brow and liner kit but when I tried using it as an eyeliner, it doesn’t show up on my eyelids so I don’t think with a less pigmentation you can use it as an eyeliner. But yeah, it does define and give my brows a good shape which I like. I might look out for other brow powders when I finish this one since it is on the costlier side but if I’m unable to find a similar one, I might go back to this one.
